Tent Sites on Chestnut Ridge, VA

Any good tent sites between Walker Gap and Va 623? Expect to hike farther than the shelter and the gap, but not as far as Davis Farm.

I been through there a number of times sectioning looking for the same thing. Short answer, no. There is a spot on the South side of 623 that is tentable. There is also a spot on the right (nobo), across from the Davis junction. Both are dry. Occasionally in season there are jugs at 623.
