Intermediate level 60 yo male (hikes like a 30 yo) looking for male or female hikers for day hikes, weekend hikes, & (future - after retirement) week long hikes in WNC, GSMNP, MST, Bartram, AT, BMT, etc. I'm good for 4 seasons. Based in the Waynesville, NC area. Easy going reserved personality.

I'm not sure if hiking like a 30 year old as a 60 year old makes you intermediate - sounds like some advanced hiking there! : )

I've got in on my bucket list to backpack in western North Carolina and I often end up having to go solo. Is whiteblaze the way people meet up? Anyway if I can find this thread next time I'm planning a trip I'll reach out to you Egads.

Got something specific in mind? I'm 68, male, not as fast as I used to be, but still up for an overnight in the woods. I'm in Huntsville AL so anything in N. Georgia would be very doable for me - anything from GSMNP south/west. Have you been to Big Frog Wilderness on TN/GA border?
