Default Avoiding deer flies on flip flop...

Hey, I was hoping to do a flip thru starting north at HF in April, but just remembered deer flies tearing me up when I did a section in NJ/NY one year. (Don't remember the month.)

I have a passionate hatred for deer flies and they seriously made that hike absolutely MISERABLE for me (while barely bothering with some hikers) and I will do everything short of punching my grandmother to avoid them.

If wanting to do a flip, can anyone recommend *locations and *start dates to help minimize/eliminate my exposure to them? My overall mileage through the days is average. I would prefer to start north and finish at Springer, but open to whatever helps keep me away from those demon spawn.
    - Thanks

PS - I've heard of "Tred-Not Deerfly Patches" and would gladly carry a pound of those things if forced to go through their territory again...

Additionally, my goal is to avoid NB bubbles in both directions, but still open to whatever must be done...
