Default Dolly Sods - Roads to trailheads

I’ve read great things about Dolly Sods for years but have never gone because of concerns over the roads needed to access trailheads which are apparently all unpaved. I do not own a car. When I want to go somewhere requiring a car, like to Shenandoah NP, I borrow a van from a family member. I don’t want to risk damaging a vehicle that is not mine, obviously. It’s a regular passenger van (Pacifica) with limited ground clearance. Any advice on Dolly Sods in terms of roads to potentially avoid? Looking for the easiest/shortest point of access.

My other option would be to rent a car to make the trip, although I believe some rental agreements have prohibitions on unpaved roads.

I’ll either do a day hike or an overnight, if I can get away for more than a day.

    Thanks.

Its been a few years since I've been up there but I've always taken FR75 about 5 miles up to the bear rocks trailhead. There's lots of people go up there these days . I think you'll be fine in the Pacifica.

If you get a chance and you like pizza you must stop by Davis WV
At the Sirianni's Cafe for a pizza pie! They were voted no 3 in the US.

    Thanks, I’ll look into FR75.

I normally try to limit carbs but after finishing a hike, pizza is deserved so thanks for that suggestion!
