Got a fleece desert camo hoodie when I was back in middle school around 03, turns out I was fully grown to 5’10 by the time I was 12/13, still use it today for day trips and over nights because it’s just so comfy and lightweight.

I bought a Land's End down puffie in '09 for $50, It has been on a thruhike ('10 NOBO) and a multitude of other trips ranging from 3 days to 6 weeks. It goes in the summer as i put it in a stuff sack for a pillow.i wear it every winter daily when walking my dog. It looks as good now as it did when I bought it. I think it will outlive me.

For car and basic tent camping, I have both a Coleman lantern and stove I bought 50 years ago that still function like they did when new.

I am not a gear head but love quality gear that works AND lasts.Especially when I paid next to nothing for it.
