    I've not ever been there but it appears to me that his hiking poles are more of a hindrance than a help?

    Yes, hiking poles are best collapsed and tied to your pack. Hands work much better. I went through 2 weeks ago and that’s what I did. Didn’t use them again until on top of the arm.

    Try doing the Notch alone, at 1:00 AM. That was a trip.
