Default Choice of parking at NY/CT border

AT Guide list two options for parking near the border of NY.... first is a small lot at Hoyt Rd. (this is where we left off) and another just .5 mile north on CT 55. Need to leave my vehicle there for five or six days.... any thoughts on either of these sites?

I remember that Hoyt is a pretty small spot (maybe 3-4 spots), so that may be harder to use (particularly for a longer time)?
