Kudos to Emily Ford for thru hiking the IAT in winter bringing attention to the fortitude and strength of woman and people of color. One day I sincerely hope to meet her.

Good story. I had followed her on occasional posts on Facebook, probably from Outside Magazine or Guthook. It's nice to see the whole story all in one place.

    did I read that right?

the 2nd documented person to traverse the trail in winter and only the 78th to do it in any season?

only 78 people are documented to have thru hiked the Ice Age Trail in any season? ... doesn't sound right
