    I was going to say I'm not sure they'd want this kind of attention considering the more recent issues with backpackers not knowing/following rules with so much increased use recently... so the fact that this article is from 2012 explains that.

    There are parts of the Cohos trail which are pretty busy, with three 4,000 footers and a several peaks on the 52WAV list along the way. The very northern end is still on snowmobile and ATV trail, which makes it less desirable for hikers. So, much of the Cohos trail doesn't see much traffic.
