I heard that the hostel was closed. Does anyone know when it will re-open?

You may be able to find out from a shuttle driver. Try Ron Brown he is pretty much always in the know on these kind of things

I watched a video posted by a thru hiker on trail. The hostel was closed last week. Not sure if it's temporary.
They maybe having trouble finding someone to manage it. But it's still kind of the off season. It won't really get busy there until March.
Or could they be doing their part to discourage thru hikers this season?

Just a guess but that place is soooo small and cramped inside, they may not be able to be open safely when busy due to Covid. Plenty of camping just past going nobo, up on the hill.
