    Default Max / Min thermometer

I'm looking for a super-lightweight thermometer that would give me the max and min temps for the past 24 hours.

I am not looking for extreme accuracy -- a general idea of the temp would do.

Sun Company has a lightweight thermometer that would do https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KMMJPCZ...ogi&th=1&psc=1 , but I'd love to have the max and min data.

This is just a "if I can find one light enough it would be fun to have" item.

    Thanks!

No "memory"... but if you want something light weight and reasonably accurate, check out this reptile thermometer. Actual size is about 1-1/2" all plastic, and you can calibrate it with a pair of pliers. I can't think of a lighter thermometer that you can read the temp accurate to within 2 degrees. Most lightweight thermometers in hiking stores have a scale from like minus 20 to 150 and it's hard to read within 5 degrees.

I keep this strapped to the outside of my pack. https://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Refr...kitchen&sr=1-5
It weighs less than 3 ounces.

Following. I've often thought of getting one. Some people wonder why. For me, I would like to calibrate my sleep system. If I could know what the temps were overnight when I was cold or not cold, I would be in a better position to adjust my kit and plan future trips.

ACU-RITE might have something. I have one of their wireless indoor/outdoor thermometers, with high/low memory (for the day). While a little on the large size, the indoor piece wouldn't be unreasonable to carry on short-ish trips.

For what it’s worth, here’s one I looked at in the past: Onset HOBO MX2201 Waterproof Bluetooth Pendant Temperature Data Logger. Sort of pricey.

That onset thing looks cool. 13 grams, lasts a year and holds 96,000 readings. Yeah $54.

The thermodrop one has worked well for me. Replaced an Accurite one that quite.
It does Min/Max. You do have to reset it (long press a button) to get the next days Min/Max.

That looks interesting. How long does the Thermodrop battery last? just out of curiosity, do you routinely reset it in the morning or when you get in your tent?
