Default app to schedule shuttle rides for AT

I've launched an app this year to help hikers and shuttle providers find each other. So far even in the pandemic it's catching on. It's free to use, it will broadcast your request to providers who have signed up, and will also securely take credit cards to pay the providers.

Shuttle Providers if you want to get listed in the app visit the site and email us: [email protected]

We're finishing up the trail this year, but for sure this would have been handy for us over the past ten years. Hope it does well.

I downloaded the app but haven't played around with it yet. It sounds like exactly what I will need. My plan is (rather, has become) to hike the AT in 10-14 day sections, hopefully doing one section per month.

Then a little caution crept in so I have to ask, how do you screen the shuttlers? Can anyone see my request? Am I basically announcing to the world where my car will be parked unattended for a week or two?

I drive a small hatchback with a stick shift so it's not exactly a thief magnet, but vandals are always a concern. I realize vandalism happens even without announcements so maybe I'm overthinking this.

We do talk to the shuttle providers to make sure they are legit, however all the same common sense cautions apply as with the real world.

Only registered shuttle drivers can see your requests, and only if they are registered in the specific area the request is made. They won't even see your name/details until a ride is setup.
