    Default Parking at Amicalola Falls

I'm planning on doing the AT/BMT loop hike starting mid September. I figure it'll take me about 6 weeks....
My question is can I park my truck at Amicalola Falls State Park for that 6 week period?

Yes, you can park all summer. Go into the visitors center and get a permit. I can not remember what it cost. They had me go up a dirt road in back of the visitor center. You just park on the side of the road. I think the permit is good for a year

Good luck with your hike. I was planning to do the southern loop this past April and park at Amicalola. I am considering to reschedule this hike for this fall, but most likely will wait til next spring.
    More walking, less talking.
