Default Harpers Ferry AT walking bridge to open by the end of June 2020

Good news from the ATC, regarding the AT walking bridge across the Potomac River.
CSX and NPS have announced that they plan to start work on the walking bridge across the river within the next two weeks, with hopes of opening it by the end of June.

Well, if they're repairing the same one that was damaged, yes, it crosses the Potomac. The Shenandoah branches off the Potomac just south of the bridge.

You are absolutely correct. Thank you for pointing out my mistake. I have corrected it.

Some surprising good news. Frankly I'm stunned they're getting it done so soon.

Ironically, no one might be allowed to visit the park and walk the bridge anytime soon...

Does the end of June still look likely?

UPDATE (06/21/2020): CSX railroad is finally working on the bridge in Harpers Ferry. They started a couple of weeks ago. It took them longer to get the permits, imagine that. Estimated finish time is now the latter part of July.

CSX is also supposed to be starting shuttling from HF around the C&O to Maryland but the're still waiting for that to happen.

Thanks for the update. Yeah imagine that with the permits , but still happening faster then most thought. And if csx wanted to be responsible like they are saying to provide shuttles they should have done that a long time ago.
