Default Hiker hydration in adults over 65

As a hiker approaching 70 yrs of age, I am beginning to question my typical hydration habits on the trail. Does anyone know of any solid scientific literature that would be helpful in decision making related to best hydration practices at this age. Thanks!

    Lightbulb Here's a start

Here's a scientific study indicating that hydration for us seniors is not significantly more a problem than for anyone else:

This suggests that dehydration is not solely a function of the aging process, but may be more related to concomitant medical conditions
Hydration is VERY crucial for ALL hikers, so it's never a bad idea to keep an eye on this potential problem on every trip.
