Cool First Winter White Mountains Direttissima

A couple of hikers who go by Apple Pie and Greenleaf have completed the first known winter direttissima of the Whites.

If anyone is curious. They are both pretty accomplished hikers. Apple Pie and Greenleaf are both serial thru hikers. Also Applie Pie held an FKT for a direttissima a while back. They are savages. I met Greenleaf last year. He was crushing 30+ miles a day around the white mountains. They get after the grid every day.

    Very impressive feat!

What is amazing is that they got that many days in a row without crazy high wind.
UL, because nobody ever asks "How can I make my pack heavier?"
