Default Lite AF Curve 46 with load lifters?

Plenty of reviews of the LiteAF 35 and 40L packs, but so far haven’t seen any reviews of the Curve 46 with optional load lifters. I’m curious if they’re effective at all, since the load lifters are simply sewn into the pack bag and not anchored into any rigid connection to the frame stays. In other words, I think that (unless you have something rigid in that part of the pack) if you cinch the load lifters down, all you are doing is pulling the pack bag down and forward into the tops of your shoulders as opposed to pulling the shoulder traps up and transferring a little bit more load to the stays and hip belt.

Looking at the photos here it appears that the load lifter webbing bits might be anchored to the stays, which look as if they slide into sleeves inside the main pack.

But I'd concur that not having them anchored to the stays really doesn't make sense.

Anyone here have any first hand experience with either the Curve 40 or 46?
