    Default neusiok trail

Anybody been on this trail since they reopened it? Is it still closed north of Hwy 306?

Thanks. Found it on their website. Still closed from Pine Cliffs to 306.

I'm just glad most of the trail has reopened. I've been wanting to do this for a while and next weekend looks good.

Blowdowns one can usually manage around. If things are underwater maybe less so?

    Update

I contacted friends of MST and the Croatan NF Ranger office. MST thought the trail was open but there is still work being done by Duke Power. The entire trail is marked closed. Bummer. Time to look for a plan B

The trail is open again from Oyster point to hwy 306, but best bet is to contact the ranger station before heading out there. Looks like the Duke energy project has a lot to be done.

I hiked it yesterday with a couple of MST section hikers. The trail is mostly in great shape. There are a few blow downs that are easy to go under and about a mile of ankle deep mud.
