Thread: Water in GA/NC?

    Default Water in GA/NC?

Looking to do the final GA stretch Dicks Gap, GA to Deep Gap, NC but am a little worried about the water. I've been told GA is pretty dry right now. Has anybody been up to that area lately who can comment on the water sources? Many thanks!

The AT conservancy website has a report from the Georgia trail maintenance club that list each water source from Springer to GA/NC border with notation of dry, slow, or good flow as of 9/29/19.

I am headed out from Springer to Unicoi this weekend. Many streams are dry on the last 20 miles of this stretch. Another resource to consider is the guthook app which has water reports. I think it would be an $8 purchase for that section.
