Default Water from NFG to Fontana?

Starting a short section SOBO Sunday. NFG to Fontana.
Got a notice from GSMNP today (via my permits) that Mt. Collins (1st stop) was dry. No big problem as Clingman's has water.
Anyone happen to know what water situation is south of, say, Derrick Knob?
    Thanks folx!

unless they are dry-----every shelter has a spring somewhere......you might have to read the sign inside the shelter to point you in the right direction and it maybe a tenth or so to it, but there will be a spring...

dont leave a pack unattended inside the shelter while getting food as, especially at russell field, a bear might run off with it......

    seriously.....

also----imo, 113 is one of the best sites in the Park....

    its a regular campsite.....

there used to be a shelter but its been torn down for almost 2 decades...

Mollies Ridge is either dry or very low from this past weekend.

Check with Backcountry Ranger Office at 865-436-1297. I just now got off the phone with them about a hike lower down and they were warning me about shelters on the AT. Derrick Knob had decent water last weekend and a piped spring in a gap between Derrick Knob and Spence Field was running, just slowly. Improved once I repaired the "dam" around the entrance to the pipe!
