Hiking Springer to Hightower gap

Taking my daughter on her first overnight on the trail. Anything of note? Planning on parking up at Hightower and hiking to Springer n back at the end of the month.

Not a bad section. Plenty of water, trail is fairly easy. Make sure you take the side trail to Long Creek Falls.

You may want to consider coming back on the BMT from Springer. It makes a figure 8 with the AT between Springer and 3 Forks. Change of scenery if nothing else for the return hike.

But most importantly: enjoy!
