Default Parking at Three Forks in Georgia

If memory serves, there's no parking lot at Three Forks in Ga. Only space on the side of the road to leave a vehicle. Is this correct? Safe to leave vehicle there for a week?

That is correct, and I wouldn't.

Our other option was to park at the Springer Mtn lot. Are there any other lots in that area that are on the trail?

There are about 4 "spots" off the road to pull a vehicle in at Three Forks, and a lot of side of the road parking. People do leave cars at Three Forks all the time without issue, but you never know. The lot at Springer is much better suited for long term parking. Other than that, Amicalola Falls SP is nearby, and probably the safest of all.

Default Parking at Three Forks in Georgia

I park at Three Forks quite often and have never had a problem. I have never left a car for a week, usually only 1 or 2 nights but no issues. Parking spots there on the weekend are tough to get but during the week it is no problem.
