    Default Hughes Gap - Erwin

    Looking at doing this section upcoming weekend, 2 days hiking, 30 miles or so. What is the trail like through this section?

    A lot of up and down on your first day. Nothing too crazy, but steady. I kind of liked this section of NC/TN. The top of Unaka mountian is pretty neat. Reminds me of home. Only one good vista in the 30 miles, mostly a walk in the woods.
