    Default parking

I am planning a fall trip on the Benton MacKay trail and have a few questions. if I park at thunder rock, how far is it to hike to big frog and the cohuttas? also is thunder rock a safe place to leave my car for 4 days? (any trouble with break ins or vandalism?) any other suggestions for parking? thanks for the help!

There’s a camp host there. You Might just check in with them before you head out. From there it’s only 2-3 miles until you hit the Big Frog. Not sure on mileage otherwise, but postholer.com had good beta on that when I was looking recently

I've left a car at thunder rock for 4 days two different times while doing sections on the BMT. No problems at all, I feel safe leaving my car there.
