Just discovered Trader Joe’s pesto tortellini! After 3 hours in water. Feels like I just struck gold. What’s your favorite thing to cold soak? Pinto beans? Ramen? Rice?

Trader Joe's should think of having mini quick marts strategically located in some towns like Palmerton PA. My fav cold soak is Near East Couscous. I cold soak it in a Talenti cup, add olive oil and my seasoning packet and I am golden!
3 hours? Are you carrying that for 3 hours, or at camp/stationary?
The problem I have with no cook is it tend to be heavier then carrying a stove with all things considered, and no hot cup of joe in the morning.
As for my favorite cold soak, it's me feet in a clear running stream.
I’d carry it, in a jar or ziplock. Water weight to me is minimal and more important to not have to cook. YMMV.
