    Default campsites near Cedar Cliffs VA, (between mile 844 and 846)

    Looking for known campsites around Cedar Cliffs. Anywhere between Mile 844 and 846.

    The short answer is yes there is. On the south side of dripping rock rd(not right at the road but near an overlook prior to that road).
    And on top of humpback mountain there are some great is sites with a view as well. All dry I presume. Water waypoint at dripping rock.

    There are signs saying no camping within 1/2 mile of Cedar Cliffs - pretty much the first mile south of where the trail crosses the BRP at Dripping Rock. To the south, there's really nothing until you get past Reid's Gap. To the north, Gambit is correct there are some good camping opportunities along the top of Humpback Mtn. Those are dry campsites, though - honestly, I don't remember passing any water sources between Maupin Field Shelter and Paul Wolfe Shelter.
    It's all good in the woods.
