:banana Looking for Slow Hiker Buddy

    Hi,
I am looking for a slow hiker to hike the AP with me, hopefully through, but if not, as long as we can make it. I hope to hear from someone or from several people.
    Thank you,
    Natrue Lover

I haven't been to Springer or Katahdin during the thru-hiker "rush hour" but it's been said many times that if you just go, you'll fall in with someone (or several people) who share your style of hiking. Maybe you hike with them for two days, then they leave you behind, or you leave them behind. If so, you walk with the next person. Plenty of people out there who don't mind having a buddy to look out for them.

When are you planning on going? I'd love to find someone slow to start with next spring, even better to find someone to go all the way with. [email protected].

My 2nd AT thru attempt in March 2020 will be a slower start. I went too fast out of the gate, and yet I knew going into it I should have started slow. Had so much adrenaline then.

I have open availability. I am helping another lady with preparation for her fishing trip. I would love to be a companion for a hiking trip. It sounds like fun.

I'm thrilled to hear about your hiking plans! Going on a trail from Parisburg to Maine and then from Parisburg to Georgia sounds like an amazing adventure. Having a hiking buddy can make the journey even more enjoyable.

Hope for MID to Late March or April

March and April can be unpedictable as far as weather goes. For instance my 99 hike started te 11th and we had an ice storm the first night. Weather changes almost daily. Easter and all the way to NC was beautiful

My 08 hike started rainybut by the NC line the weathter was beautifull.

I would love to have a partner for the longhaul

I have been doing section hikes over the years. This year I will be starting around MacAfee Knob, I would be interested in meeting up with you to do 100-200 miles. How slow of a hiker are you?
