A vigorous five-mile walk will do more good for an unhappy but otherwise healthy adult than all the medicine and psychology in the world. ~Paul Dudley White
And "sent" also. The email count includes ALL the mails. I saw on this or another forum, the person had deleted every email in the "inbox" and yet people still could not send mail to them. Because that "sent" folder had 250 mails sitting in it.

Good to know in general rhjanes...here I am thinking it is the whole mailbox with a limit but I could be mistaken. A full mailbox will not prevent receipt of a pm from a moderator so I don't normally see that message. What does the message say exactly?
I can relay this message to members if requested of me. Easiest to do so through PM.

Agree with what you say. Exactly my point. Most forum software allow the admins/mods to set a limit on sizes, like photos and email count. But it is the entire email for a person. Inbox, Sent, and any other folders for "mail" total up to the limit set by the admin/mod and then people sending you mail get the message. Wish the software also would tell the person with the FULL email about it! But they don't! And I think Admins and possibly Mod's are exempt and can send mail to people whose count is over the limit.

I don't think the user gets a notification (which could be helpful) but there is a box at the bottom of the inbox showing the total number of messages with the limit noted and a simple bar graph. I didn't remember it was there, I don't look at that spot often. I just check for notifications up top near my username but I think the numbers in that spot go bold if over the limit. That was why I looked there just now. I've gotten too used to checking in a smartphone where the screen real estate is smaller and forget some of the boxes of available info and options.
Admins and I think Mods can PM a user who is over the limit.
We could maybe make a no

Users do get an automatic message and/or email when someone tries to PM them but their mailbox is full.
Which always raises the question in my mind, ... why not email them instead of PM'ing them? Of course, that assumes they gave WB their email in their profile. If not, their loss.
