    Default Hostel/Shuttle Ga/NC

Looking for recommendations for a Hostel close to Springer, safe place to leave car, and shuttle up to Deep Gap just before Standing Indian Mountain (May 5-6), and hike back to Springer. Have looked at staying at Lodge at Amicalola and leaving car in parking past visitor's center, but trying to cut down on cost just a little. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Stay in gainsville or dahlonega, leave car at amicalola or springer.

By far, the lodge will be worth it compared to driving there from a lodging, none are real close.

You could get a tent site for $25 at the park. What the heck, that's what you came there to do right? The Lodge is near-by if you want to use the restaurant. If you want to spend the night in a room with a shower, that will cost you. No bargains for lodging in that area.

Stay at the shelter behind the Visitor Center for free. It is part of the Approach Trail. Then you are only paying for parking.

To get technical, its for thru hikers only. But I don't care. Neither does anyone else . Few use it.
