Any busses going from Delaware to Damascus Va. try to finish VA.150 miles north to go

Marion Va. is the closest bus station to Damascus. about 30 miles

Go to Marion, then hike south on the AT to Hurricane Mt shelter. A mile south of the Hurricane Mt shelter there is a horse trail which connects to the Iron Mountain trail which is the old AT and has an old, original log shelter along it. When you get to Damascus, turn around and go back north on the AT. So you repeat 12 miles or so of trial, big deal. It takes 2.5 days to get to Damascus via the Iron Mt trail, it takes 5 days to go back via the AT. You'll need a map to figure it out.

Or you go to Marion and get a shuttle down to Damascus. Or just start at Marion.
