Yeah great video you have a smart friend there. I practiced martial arts for about 10 years and that regimen will give you a lot of mental toughness and like your friend said mental toughness plays many roles in our daily life. Even now at 55 yrs old I get up at 3: 00 am to go to the gym and do my hyperfittness,, to stay in hiking shape takes mental toughness 1 reason I do it. And it takes tons of mental discipline to do a long hike I only go out for a week or two at a time but getting more vacation time who knows.......

Good video. I like the attitude. You can choose to be positive or negative.

Good video. I especially liked the comment "flip the script" when in an unpleasant situation. No matter how bad the trail got, it was always better than the hell of sitting 8-10 hours a day in a cubicle.
    Simple is good.

Good stuff. I traveled with a guy for a summer who viewed every hardship from the "story" perspective -- he experienced deep enjoyment of anything that was going be a good story later. When things got really rough, he would invariably burst into maniacal laughter. That's when he felt the most alive. I learned a lot walking with him.
