    Default Week Hike

I am considering heading out for a week long(6-7 day) hike on the trail in either June or July. I will be going with my nephew and am looking for advice on a 100-125 mile section that has the least amount of permits required and easy trail access. I’m coming from the east coast so not very familiar with all the permits associated with the PCT. Any help would be appreciated.

In Washington, June at higher elevations means snow on the ground, at least in places. July would be better. There are places (William O Douglass Wilderness and Pasayten Wilderness) you could do a one week loop including a PCT section, which would be good if you are driving. Public transportation can get you to a couple or more trail heads, possibly Snoqualmie Pass (I90) to Stevens Pass (US2) by bus. I do not believe any permits are required. Best to check with the Forest Service, though. You won't be disappointed.
