Exclamation The Abol Trail Steward at Baxter reports some NoBos are showing up misinformed.

The Abol Trail Steward at Baxter reports some NoBos are showing up misinformed. He reports NoBos either aren't bringing any cash at all, or are trying to find him to pay Baxter fees. He's not the person you pay (evidently a guide has this wrong.) you pay the Ranger at Katahdin Stream, and Baxter State Park is CASH ONLY. Get cash in Monson (ATM or the PO). You may need cash for: Abol Pines at Abol Bridge $12, the Birches $10, a site at Katahdin Stream $32, firewood $3, shuttle to Millinocket $10. There is NO ATM at the Abol Bridge Store. regarding what cash may be needed for:
    shuttle to Millinocket $10
Starting in September a shuttle ($10 for non-guests.) comes to the KSC at about 4PM on most days. There is a sign-up sheet on the Ranger’s porch – sign up BEFORE you start up the mountain so the Ranger can tell the shuttle driver how many folks need a ride. The shuttle’s last day is Oct. 15th.
