Great! I was thinking about you, and it will be a good idea for you to check with them again before you fly all the way out here.
Unfortunately, I'm afraid these fires are just getting worse and worse!
(Its a good thing I read this before I posted it. The "smart" phone was going to say "these GIRLS are just getting worse and worse ")!

Ha.. just looking at this post from 5 years ago. I'm preparing to hike the TRT for the 4th time starting August 1 of this year. Of all the trails I've ever hiked this is my favorite.

I attempted this trail and failed miserably as I could not find water, wasn't smart enough to cache, and was bleeding profusely in unmentionable areas due to excessive sweating. A few weeks later the place started going up in flames. Whenever anyone asks me what thru hike they should do in the US, I tell them the TRT, wait for a good snow year, and to set up water caches.

It's so friggin' beautiful out there. I'm gonna get this sucker one of these days.
