Default Water availability in New England

I will be picking up the trail in Connecticut, mid to late July, Northbound. Expect to take 7-8 weeks to finish up. Wondering what sort of water availability to expect. Is max capacity of 2L sufficient all the way to Katahdin? Are there any dry spots to be aware of?

2liters should be good enough. Presidential Range is kinda dry, but water can be had at the huts and a couple springs along the way.
