The weather people are talking about where our Texas summer will wind up in the record books. The DFW area is now on something like 15 days over 99 (not in a row, that's another topic). Average over the 124 years of records kept, is like 4 days over 99 by July 7. Dangerous heat by noon now.

It's an interesting experience to live under these temperatures. I'm glad there has been a decent breeze. Farmers corn crops are dried up.... bummer!

Hey if you used a mirror and directed a sun beem at a cup of water would it boil? You can start a fire in seconds this way.

I think if a plastic mirror was directed at the sun, the mirror would melt

Welcome to the New Year. Let's hope for the best weather ever. I've got cabin fever already

I was able to get myself in gear and make more Fancee Fest stoves and simmer rings for them.

Is it likely you'll ever make any more of the Sterno/Starlyte stove systems you previously sold?

Sterno no longer makes the basic kit so I can no longer make the customized kit.

    Suppliers mess thing up

Ouch, I totally missed that change. The kit I bought from you a while ago is still one of my favorite stove systems for general use.

That kit was totally nice. The heat exchange fins and the lightweight aluminum lid made a big difference. The titanium cone transferred heat to the pot also. It's one of my favorites also.

I've used my homemade cat stove inside my titanium wood stove with a aluminum Walmart cup works great, the flames shoot straight up the cup and boils in no time. But my question can I use my jet boil cup with the heat exchanger fins with this set up ?

I have not tried it under a small jetboil, just a large msr Reactor pot
