Hiked from Springer to Harper's Ferry with a new pair of Keen, sorry, don't know what model. After 1022 miles, soles were just starting to seperate. Keen was very helpful, replaced them for free. Two years later, took my spiffy new boots to Harper's and started north. Exact same boots, and after 270 miles of rocks,by the time we got to Delaware Water Gap they are just about worn out. I will not be asking Keen to do anything, but I will buy another pair. Those rocks are just plain hard on boots. I am sure there are a multitude of lighter, nicer, cooler or just plain better choices. But 1300 miles with no blisters, sore feet or missing toenails makes me happy.

I've gotten a number of pairs of quality boots on ebay, since I have size 14 feet, the sellers usually accept lower offers, hard to sell large boots used; also Nike shoes for around $35 a pair on ebay.
