    *All cabins in SHEN were constructed in the 1930s by the CCC;
    *The NPS regulates the PATC as a concessionaire like any other organization that offers any type of service on NPS land;
    *It is NPS regulation that you not camp w/in a certain distance of a historic structure;
    *Any adult may join the PATC to rent out a cabin located on private property;
    *The PATC maintains more of the AT than any other organization;
    *Only the PATC secretary draws a salary - no one is making a profit (not that there is anything wrong with that anyhow);

    Did I miss any other false and uninformed statements?

    thank You.

    That was good to learn.

    Now on I need to learn about camping access —can I rent a camping space when the cabin is not in use.

    There are 42 total, 17 available to non members.

    My apologies - I meant those adjacent to the AT.

    And, I read on infowars that the leadership is made up entirely of Reptilians.

    I dont get the irritation at all, actually sounds like a sense of entitlement. I rented one of those cabins 15 years ago and would have been sorely disappointed if a bunch of hikers had crowded around. (Not all hikers are respectful, quiet, or sober..). Also you are in the woods and can set up camp anywhere, expecting to have a shelter space is preposterous. Rather than crowding around the cabins and beat down that area, why not spread out all thoughout the forest? Impact would be less and more recoverable. Then again I dont hit the trail to congregate and socialize...and I dont volunteer to maintain trails or cabins so I dont expect anyone owes me anything.
    Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?!

    before going for the easy joke you might want to look over the financials of the AMC

    TLDNR;
    as of 2016 they had an endowment of almost $60million and total net assets in excess of $133million - the AMC is easily the wealthiest of all the ATC maintaining clubs.

    Did this guy think I made that number up???? They have far more than $50 million, but about 17% of their Endowment is permanently restricted.

    ***It is the 17% redistricted part that funds child sex rings in DC pizza parlors however. Since he brought up Alex Jones...I couldn't resist.
