Default Please put out those fires

Choppers have been flying over Hot Springs all day trying to put out a fire which I'm told has burned down a shelter and FS has now shutoff section of the trail. PLEASE PUT OUT THOSE FIRES BEFORE YOU FALL ASLEEP AND BEFORE YOU HEAD OUT!

Around this time last year they had forest fire near the Winding Stairs. They shut down the section but they provided free shuttle service to shuttle hikers so that they could continue their hike. Guess no free shuttles this time.

I rather my BACKYARD and RESPONSIBLE HIKERS rather than free shuttles for hikers to continue their thru-attempt.

I hate to see anything burn like this, but if it had to happen, too bad it wasn't Walnut Mountain Shelter. That one needs a revamp or removal.

There's a TFR over the area now so they must be bringing in helicopters.
