Default long term parking at standing indian campground

I am hiking from Unicoi Gap to probably Winding Star Gap. Our current plan is to park at Top of Georgia and have them drop us of at Unicoi and then shuttle back to Top of Georgia when we are finished. However, I was wondering if there is any long term parking at Standing Indian Campground and if it makes more sense to park there and then just shuttle once to Unicoi.
Is anyone familiar with this area and have any advice?
    Thank you!

what is considered long term? a week...........or six months......

maybe call the campground or the forest service and they could tell you about parking...

there is parking right next to the kiosk and i would imagine that parking there for a long time would be alright...

It would be about a week for parking.

Okay, thank you. I just called the forest service and they did say there is parking just outside of the campground that people can use.

Many NFS paring lots have 14-Day limit.

    Okay, good to know, thanks!

Someone suggested that Deep Gap would be a better place to leave the car... since it is actually on the trail, and have decided to go with that.

Has the road to Deep Gap been repaired? I was planning on parking there next weekend for a section hike

I haven't driven it but hiked into Deep Gap a couple of weeks ago and there were people parked there.
