Default WTB 3 or 4 person tent.

Looking for a 3 or 4 person tent, for my teenagers. They can be a little rough on things, so not looking for the lightest or newest tents. Preferably, 50+ sqft and under 7 lbs. Examples:
    MSR Papa Hubba NX
    BA Rattlesnake SL4
    Mountainsmith Upland 4
    BA Copper Spur UL4
    Black Diamond Vista 3
    REI 1/2 Dome 3+
    Kelty Trailogic TN4
    Kelty Salida 4
    BA Manzanares HVSL4
    BA Fly Creek UL4

Would prefer freestanding but open to options.

    Thanks

IMHO: A BA UL tent (such as Copper Spur) is going to be too delicate to turn teenagers loose on.
I would recommend anything by Kelty, or something in the BA SL line.

Alps makes some excellent mid-range products that would fit the bill well. IIRC, I paid less than $100 for a Zenith 3 from Sierra Trading Post a few years ago when they had a sale.

Yes, I think you are right. I want to stay +50 sqft for 3 people, so will be in the 6 & 7lb range. Looked more last night and decided to lean more towards 2 doors. So far TNF Talus 4, MH Shifter 4, BA Rattlesnake SL4 & ManzanRes 4, mountainsmith Morrison EVO 4 & Genesse 4, REI 1/2 Dome 3+ & 4, & Kelty trailogic TN4 all fit. If I can't find something used, I'll get one of the inexpensive ones for them to try out camping.

I looked at Alps a little, just couldn't find the sweetspot, they were either too small or too heavy. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
