If I go to the woods because I have a lot on my mind.
But then finish my trip with peace of mind, what weighs more; A lot or a peace?

Is it easier to carry the burden of a lot on my mind all the way to the next shelter if I use trekking poles?

Works for me. For a few zlotys, my two trekking Poles, Krzysztov and Mariusz, not only carry my minutiae, but my gear as well.

Just think of how much weight youíve lost, in calories burned, in the time youíve been reading this thread.

Letís see - 24 posts takes what, about ten minutes? If you are sitting in your rocker you are burning 100 calories per hour. So 100/6=17 calories shed.

Your becoming more ultralight just thinking about, well, just thinking.

The weight of minutia varies if you are a liberal or a conservative and the subject matter at hand

the effect and affect of minutia tends to reduce drastically with a long hike

worrying about minutiae is for gram weenies, so should always be stated in grams - also makes it sound more dramatic

tipi never talks about a 34019.4 gram pack

No matter how you slice it that's still a lot of minutia. My brother-in-law was once carrying a pack that weighed about 75 lbs. He said don't worry, it's all lightweight stuff.

In order to become a certified gram weenie, one must first become a kilogram weenie.
