I did the solar thing. I’m not a fan. Will be switching to an ankle next time. Probably a 5000

So far like it as much as my 10,000 Anker bank.

It was nice consolidating two pieces of kit into one. Bought Anker cables to go with it.

Imo. Worth it for an on the go thru hiker/traveler

I have the same Anker pack (in red for easy finding) and could not be happier with it as an item in my EDC kit.

For the trail, I am considering the bare Li-cells and that little cord that allows you to offload the electricity from the cell. Two cells and the cord will for sure weigh less than the Fusion.

I'm looking at that one above and it looks like it might only charge via plugging it into a wall socket.
I am planning on going above the arctic circle next year and so, would take my solar charger along, but it has now power bank, that's why I want a small, lightweight one.
Does anyone know if you can charge this Power Core Fusion 5,000 Anker by
using just the cable from a solar charger?

By the way, I had an awesome solar charger/power bank all in one that I bought in Australia that would charge my phone 3 -4 times but the airport security took it from me (I flew with it twice but different countries seem to have different rules and Thailand took it) I'd buy another one, as it was great but don't want to lose another one. (or take the chance of landing without one again)

The third port down is a micro USB in that charges the power bank. The top two are USB A outs that discharge the power bank. Does your solar setup have a way for connect to micro USB?

I recently bought Ultra Lab Power Bank from Costco. They come in pairs. Each one is 6,000 ma. They are smaller than the iPhone 6 and lighter than my Anker.

Reasons for the question: My phone and ipod (especially the ipod!) seem to drain batteries FAST. The ipod will play about 6 hours on one charge... and it's still fairly new (about a year old)...
