    Default 5.5 oz 24L pack

I saw this on a FB ad. Looks similar to Granite Gear Slacker Packer, but trade the compression straps for load lifters (not sure they're needed), a bottle holder, and a small zipped compartment.

Has anybody tried it? Did they shave weight by going with thinner fabric or less shoulder strap padding?

I love my Slacker Packer but thought this might be a good gift.

It seems like a nice pack. I used a pack a couple oz lighter when I thru-hiked the Colorado Trail. Shaving weights on the straps really depends on how much you are carrying. I was leaving town with 10 pounds including food. The first day or two where a little hard on the shoulders but as my food supply got lighter, by the third day I didn't even notice I had a pack on.
