Default I made a lid (several actually) for my 10cm Imusa Mug

Hey folks I made several lids for my 10cm Imusa mug. Paid $2.60 on Amazon for the mug, and it didn't make sense to pay $10 or more just for a lid, so I poked around a little for ideas and here's what I came up with.

I thought I'd make a quick "destructible" (AKA tutorial) on my method, so if you're interested pop over to our blog and check it out!

Why is there a caterpillar on top of all of them?
Let's head for the roundhouse; they can't corner us there!

    Ditto!

    Hey John,
Nice work, they look good to me. I've made a bunch of them over the years myself. Hard to beat "free-ninety-nine", for a price. I usually poked/punched a few small holes in mine for vent holes for the steam when the water would come to a boil. I'd put them away from the handle (the paracord on your lids) for obvious reasons.

Y'all going to do another "Hike 22" this year? I definitely enjoyed the one we did last Feb.

I'm assuming that this is a joke, but just in case- it's simply a piece of gutted paracord knotted through the lid.

    Uncle Willy the Jackrabbit!

Hey thanks for the tip on the vent holes, that's a good idea and probably necessary.

Haven't thought about a Hike22 re-do but hey it's definitely an option. Or maybe a Hike30 or something right? =) We definitely had a blast last year!

Looks great! I keep burning my lips on that mug. Tried putting a silicone band around it but it keeps skipping down exposing the metal when I least expect it.
