    Default Snowless trek

I would like to continue my CDT trip. Any experienced opinions about when I could start NOBO from Cottonwood Pass to Rawlins and be pretty assured of a snowless trip?

Probably mid to late July in a normal year.

Snowless as in " no snow" or no hard hiking due to snow?

A little snow for 100 yds here and there isnt big deal , particularly when a bootpacked trail exists.....as long as it comess out right place other side, and not require uphill scramble to find trail. postholing is of course

Even this yr, heavy , late, snow yr for CO, it was very overhyped apparently
I talked to a few cdt hikers that said zero issues in CO by first week july. Worst was lake ann pass cornice, just because sorta steep . And that guy was probably 65 yrs old. No issues any where else related to me, including san juans.

Mid july would be snow free everywhere basically except a few small patches, Even in heavy yr.
