Default Nobo or sobo September thru hike

Should be starting the first week in September to hike the long trail, coming off the PcT next week. Anyone know how the trail conditions have been this summer ? Water ?

    Go SOBO.

The trail is a swamp. It has rained a lot this summer and continues to do so. The LT is noted for it's mud and this year looks to be really bad. There has been a lot of traffic and it has really chewed up the trail. A lot of rain and a lot of hikers is not a good combo for the trail. I've been thinking of doing another LT trip this fall myself, but I think I'll go somewhere else rather then add to the problem.
