That is a good article. It is amazing how stupid people can act around wild animals. The guy with a tripod taking a photo up close of a grizzly bear absolutely blows my mind.

The comment section at the bottom of the article is quite entertaining too.

the title of the thread, especially the use of the word "another" implies there has been another in the string of recent bear attacks.

side note- saw this video from alaska of a guy who came upon a mother grizz and two cubs walking in the trail towards him.

he spent a very long time slowly backing away from them until they got to the lake they were using the trail to get to.

i wouldnt call his choice wrong per se, but it wouldnt have been mine. it was obvious to me the bears were intent on using the trail. i think she should have exited said trail and let them pass.

the interesting thig, is about the second comment on the story on yahoo pointed this out, and it was met with dozens of people calling the person who suggested it a fool and an idiot and so forth.

i think he was right. animals like the trails as much as people do, those bears were obviously not leaving it, getting off trail 50 or 100 feet they would have just passed him by.

All true but Grizzly Bears are a different animal than a Black Bear. Having been around both.
