Default Lowa Innox GTX, Innox EVO GTX and Innox EVO

Does anyone have recent experience with either of these three shoes? Lowa calls them speed hikers. I'm very interested in bottom of the foot protection from step on sharp rocks. Also interested in their ability to deal with water. Specifically, if you are forced to walk through knee deep water in the first five minutes of a 12-hour hike, do they "shed" water well? Also can they be used for long trail runs?

    Thanks

    Avoid Gore-Tex shoes.
As to the knee deep water crossing in the first 5 minutes of a 12 hour day:
    A. Camp after the water crossing if possible.
    B. If A is not possible, cross the stream in your camp shoes and then put on your dry hiking socks & shoes.
    Have fun!

    PS:
    A. Amendment. Put on camp shoes. Cross knee deep stream. Camp. Hiking shoes and socks remain dry.
