    Default Jewel Basin

Anyone (Marta) in the Flathead area done the Jewel Basin?

What do you think? While quite small it looks, well...finer than GNP.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner.

Yes, I've done some hiking there. Nice view of the Flathead Valley. For me it's kind of a pain in the ass to get to, so it's way down my list of places to go. It looks like there are some trails that connect the Forest Service land around the Hungry Horse Reservoir to the Jewel Basin trails. I haven't hiked any of them, but they look interesting.

PS--I wouldn't call it finer than the Park by any means. And it's quite popular with people who live in Kalispell, so you won't get a lot of solitude there.
